Goat Care
We will use this page to share with you what we do here with our herd. We will also provide links for you to purchase items we use.
Hoof Trimming
Keeping your herd healthy involves a number of things, one being to keep their feet trimmed. Overgrown hooves can cause discomfort, distortion of conformation, and infection.
We trim our goats hooves every 6-8 weeks. Some goats hooves will grow at a faster rate than others. You will need to monitor each individual and decide what trimming schedule works best.
We use these orange handled shears, they work great and we can easily get our herd of 16 trimmed in no time.
